Commercial Silicone is a popular term to describe a rubber product that has been compounded to reduce costs. Commercial grade silicones are still excellent products and offer excellent thermal resistance, the physical properties are not based on an industry standard such as AMS or ASTM.
Silicone rubber offers excellent high temperature resistance, UV light, ozone and resistance while maintaining their physical properties for long lasting performance.
